Can you edit your NFC card after you've received it?
Yes. You update the content on your profile page — not the physical card. Since the card just stores a URL, changing what's at that URL instantly changes what anyone sees when they tap the card.
How profile editing works
Log into your NFC card platform's dashboard, make your changes, and save. Anyone who taps your card from that point on sees the updated profile. There's no reprinting, no re-encoding, no shipping delay. This is the core advantage of the URL-based approach: the card is a permanent pointer to a living document.
What you can change vs. what you can't
You can change anything on the profile page: contact details, links, photos, bio, form fields, and which sections are visible. What you can't change is the physical card's appearance — the printed name, logo, or design stays as it was made. Some platforms also lock the chip's URL so it always points to your platform's profile server, which is normal and prevents misuse.
What if I change jobs — do I need a new card?
Usually not. You update your profile with the new company, title, and contact info. The card points to the same URL, which now shows your new information.
Can I change the URL the NFC chip points to?
Generally no — platforms lock the chip URL to their own servers. But you control everything at that URL, so you can change the profile content freely.
How quickly do profile changes take effect?
Immediately. There's no propagation delay — profile changes go live the moment you save them.
